What letters do you see? And why do you think we chose them?

You can find the letters Sin, Tav, Ayin, and the English letter "i."  The Sin is for "Safah," the Tav is for "Tarbut," the Ayin is for "Ivrit," and the "i" stands for Israel.

It is generally agreed that language/ שָׂפה  and culture/ תַּרְבּוּת are closely related. Language can be viewed as a verbal expression of culture. It is used to maintain and convey culture and cultural ties. Language provides us with many of the categories we use for expression of our thoughts, so it is, therefore, natural to assume that our thinking is influenced by the language that we use. To a certain extent, the values and customs of the country where we grow up shape the way we think.

We at 972 Education think learning any new language opens so many more doors. There are many things culturally that can be lost in translation. When you can speak someone else’s language, not only can you communicate with that many more people, but you also understand what they understand.

Cultural competence is the ability to understand, appreciate, and interact with people from cultures or belief systems different from one’s own. It is the ability to navigate cross-cultural differences in order to do something.

The way languages are taught has changed dramatically over the past 20, even 10, years. Now, we are focused on empowering you to function in the real world. If you’ve taken a language class in the past and had unsuccessful experiences, we at 972 Education encourage you to consider trying it again!
